What brings us together

The CC group is rather diverse as it includes medical doctors, lawyers, political scientists, economists and psychologists. Our common interest lies in international relief and development with a specal focus on health. What follows is a brief description of each member of the CC group.

Laura Elena Pacifici

Dr. Pacifici is a Public Health and Emergency Medicine specialist. She is currently in charge of the International Health Cooperation and Development Office in Health Department of the Italian Red Cross and has extensive experience in emergency relief and development health missions in South East Asia and Africa.

Flavia Riccardo

Dr. Riccardo is an epidemiologist and infectious disease specialist. She is currently working in the Middle East with the UN in the field of Health related operational research. Previously she worked as an MD in Western Africa and South East Asia with Universities, NGOs and the Italian Red Cross in relief and development projects

Elena Scaroni

Elena Scaroni is an International Law and European Affairs Advisor. She worked with the Italian Red Cross, the International Health Cooperation and Development Office, with Dr Pacifici and Dr Riccardo and with the NGO Ibo Italia as an international volunteer in Matiri Hospital(Kenya). She is currently living and working in Brussels.
