Behavioural tips and prophylaxis protocols.

Introduction

Although when leaving for an international mission we might be more preoccupied by the books we will need to carry out our job at best and food comodities, we must not forget what prtains to travel medicine. Conversely we may be called as MDs to give advice to fellow travellers in developing or emergency striken contexts. This section aims at providing dependable resources where to find answers to our questions.

How to use this Section

Aim

The Prophylaxis section of Cholera Cafe' focuses on offering reliable resources to use and quote both for behavioural and pharmacological prevention of health hazards during travel.
It is targeted for users with medical and non medical background , providing in the first case material to use when asked to give advice to travellers, in the second case to directly offer easily understandable tools and reference material. However it should be noted that a counsultation with an MD is advisable when leaving for an international destination, especially when the risks for health and methods of protection against them are not known. This section is not conceived to be comprehensive and does not substitute this kind of consultation.
